Cotton & Cotton-Blend Embroidery Fabrics

Compare cotton and cotton-blend embroidery fabrics, from floral stitching to eyelet openings and geometric layouts. Choose the pattern for your dress, blouse or decorative panel, then check the selected material record and embroidered area. The collection includes blends; cotton wording alone does not mean the complete fabric is 100% cotton.

Selecting a fabric for your project

Match the embroidered layout to the panel

Start with the balance of stitched detail, visible cloth and open areas. A close floral layout, an oval eyelet pattern and a large medallion will crop differently in a bodice, sleeve or skirt. Compare a full-pattern view with your cutting outline, using the lining you intend to sew. If a decorative border or tassel detail is important, identify its position on the selected image and confirm the usable depth. Do not assume that every side has the same edge or that a photographed cut edge can serve as the finished hem. For an eyelet-led design, the dedicated Eyelet Embroidery Fabrics collection offers a narrower pattern comparison.

Separate cotton content from component claims

Read the material statement for the selected reference. Some products explicitly state 100% cotton; others name cotton without a percentage or record a polyester-cotton blend. A general cotton label is not a complete component-by-component composition. Where your specification distinguishes the ground from the embroidery thread or decorative components, ask for those details separately. Agree the required material composition and care conditions before approving the sample. This collection name does not establish organic certification, shrinkage performance or a particular country of manufacture.

Check width before estimating yardage

A fabric's full width and its usable embroidered width can differ. For example, YT26011 records a 150 cm full width and a 145 cm cuttable width; those measurements apply to that reference, not the whole collection. If the chosen product has no reliable width, include your minimum usable-width requirement in the inquiry instead of estimating from the photograph. Send the product reference and selected image with your panel dimensions, color, quantity and unit, destination and required arrival date. Where a product has no stated product-specific minimum, use 1,000 yards per design and color for planning. Enquiries from 500 yards are welcome, subject to availability and production feasibility; acceptance of a smaller order is not guaranteed. Products with a stated minimum follow that quantity and unit instead. List quantities by design and color, and check each product page. Reference-price quantity bases are separate from these planning quantities; the final price is quoted for your actual order.

Common questions

A few helpful answers about choosing, sampling and ordering.

Ask us a question
Is every fabric in this collection 100% cotton?

No. The collection includes products with explicit 100% cotton specifications, cotton material descriptions without percentages, and cotton blends. Use the selected product's material record and confirm any required ground or embroidery-thread composition separately.

Is cotton embroidery the same as eyelet embroidery?

No. Cotton describes a material direction; eyelet identifies embroidered openings. This collection includes eyelet references alongside other floral, geometric and openwork embroidery. Select the pattern and the material together.

Can I calculate cutting quantities from the listed fabric width?

First check whether the number is full width, cuttable width or a pattern measurement. Your usable cutting area also depends on the border and motif direction. Confirm the relevant dimension for the selected design before calculating bulk yardage.

Where should I look for a narrow cotton embroidered border?

Use the separate Cotton Embroidery Lace trim collection for edging and narrow borders. If you need both a fabric panel and a trim, include the two references and intended positions in one inquiry, with width and quantity requirements for each.

What quantity should I plan for a fabric order?

Where a product has no stated product-specific minimum, use 1,000 yards per design and color for planning. Enquiries from 500 yards are welcome, subject to availability and production feasibility; acceptance of a smaller order is not guaranteed. Products with a stated minimum follow that quantity and unit instead. List quantities by design and color, and check each product page. Reference-price quantity bases are separate from these planning quantities; the final price is quoted for your actual order.
