Mesh & Tulle Lace Fabrics for Layered Designs

Find mesh and tulle lace with floral, geometric, embroidered or embellished patterns. Compare the open ground as carefully as the decoration: your lining remains part of the finished appearance. Start with the panel you are making, then check the selected fabric's material, usable width and pattern layout.

Selecting a fabric for your project

Choose the ground before the decoration

A fine floral mesh and a more open geometric grid create different amounts of visible background. Compare the full pattern over the color of your planned lining, not only against the background in a product photograph. For an inset or sleeve, mark the cut shape so you can see where open areas meet the seam. This collection includes patterned mesh lace and tulle grounds carrying embroidery, sequins or raised motifs. These are different construction and decoration choices. The word mesh does not mean every design is embroidered, and a transparent appearance does not establish the fiber composition.

Plan the overlay at garment scale

Compare the motif size with the bodice, sleeve, skirt or decorative panel you intend to cut. A flower that reads clearly in a close-up may be cropped differently in a narrow piece. Check motif direction and the areas where the design meets a dart, fastening or adjoining panel. Confirm whether the listed dimension is the total width, usable width or pattern measurement. For an embellished design, review the decorated area and the ground separately. If the garment needs extension, assess the selected fabric with its lining and seams; neither mesh construction nor spandex content supplies a tested stretch result.

Send the pattern and backing together

Include the product reference, selected gallery image and a sketch or photograph of the intended panel. Add the lining color, usable-width requirement and any preference for embroidery, sequins or raised decoration. Where a gallery contains several references, identify the image you mean as well as the code. For a bulk quotation, state the quantity for each design and color, its unit, delivery location and required arrival date. Where a product has no stated product-specific minimum, use 1,000 yards per design and color for planning. Enquiries from 500 yards are welcome, subject to availability and production feasibility; acceptance of a smaller order is not guaranteed. Products with a stated minimum follow that quantity and unit instead. List quantities by design and color, and check each product page. Reference-price quantity bases are separate from these planning quantities; the final price is quoted for your actual order.

Common questions

A few helpful answers about choosing, sampling and ordering.

Ask us a question
Are all mesh and tulle lace fabrics embroidered?

No. Some references use a patterned mesh structure; others have embroidery, sequins or dimensional decoration on a ground. Check the selected product's construction and decorative details rather than treating mesh as a manufacturing method.

Is the ground composition the composition of the whole embellished fabric?

Not necessarily. A stated polyester or nylon ground does not automatically describe the embroidery thread, sequins, beads or other added components. Use each material statement for the component it names and confirm any missing component details for your order.

How should I compare the coverage of an overlay?

Place the selected sample over your intended lining and review it at the scale of the finished garment piece. Compare open areas, motif spacing and the placement of seams or fastenings. A product photograph alone cannot approve the coverage of the finished garment.

Do you also offer narrow mesh embroidery trims?

Yes. The separate Mesh & Tulle Embroidery Lace trim collection is the starting point for narrow borders and edging. Send fabric and trim references together if you want to compare their colors and motif scales; an exact match needs confirmation.

What quantity should I plan for a fabric order?

Where a product has no stated product-specific minimum, use 1,000 yards per design and color for planning. Enquiries from 500 yards are welcome, subject to availability and production feasibility; acceptance of a smaller order is not guaranteed. Products with a stated minimum follow that quantity and unit instead. List quantities by design and color, and check each product page. Reference-price quantity bases are separate from these planning quantities; the final price is quoted for your actual order.
