In 2002, Guofu joined a lace factory in Guangdong as a machinery apprentice. Studying drawings and working with the machines gave him a practical understanding of how lace is made.
YiTuo’s early team had five people and rented machines. Guofu worked across repairs, design, production, customer conversations and packing orders. Later, selling through 1688 and Alibaba.com helped the business reach new customers.
Today, he wants the company website to help overseas buyers better understand YiTuo’s work and discover textile products from Shaoxing. Improving that connection remains an ongoing part of the company’s work.
